A Not-So-Aussie Christmas

I was waiting in anticipation for the only way I've ever known Christmas. Not a white Christmas which the Chi-towners will be experiencing, but a sweltering hot 40 degrees.

So I was quite disappointed when not only did the temperature sit only in the high 20's, bt it also rained!

Oh well, still had a great Xmas with family & friends - below is a piccie of mum's Christmas Eve feast; including prosciutto & asparagus salad, prawn salsa salad, crayfish, turkey, ham, rare beef, pasta pesto salad, greek salad, potato salad. And dessert : Xmas cake, mini Xmas puddings, and fruit platters.
This was of course followed by Aunty Lens Christmas Day feast, which included BBQ chicken, lamb cutlets, Angus Coorong steaks, beef & pork sausages, multiple salads, and of course Aunty Len's famous Christmas cake! I know I've missed a few dishes .. but after a while they all just blur into one ...

And so the Christmas poochy is born!
FYI : for those that don't know what a 'poochy' is, it's the temporary pot belly you get from eating too much food. This is according to the Profanisaurus which I don't have a link for ... but I'm sure one of the fellas will help me out!
