Food & Freebies Make Su-Yin Something Something ...
Go crazy? Hell yeah!
On the weekend we went to the Whole Foods Market Flavorfest. Whole Foods is a really nice grocery store that has high quality food like organic & imported stuff.
Anyhoo - we made a $5 donation each & then entered my true Asian heaven. What to Asians love? Food. What do they love even more? Free food.
We basically wandered around to all these stalls of 'gourmet' food & they gave us samples to eat on the spot - whole cheeseburgers, chicken sausages, cookies, nuts, popcorn, soy milk, juices, yoghurt, icecream; or they gave us takeaway samples - 'sencha shot' cans of green tea (we took about 8), soy sauce + dispenser, fruit & vegetable juices, low cal chips, health bars galore ....
And the best bit was, these guys were desperate to get rid of this stuff as we went on the last day of the festival. They were basically begging us to take more than one sample with us.
In the end we ended up with so much samples to take home that we had to make a trip back to the car & drop some of it off to make more room in our bags!
After eating to our hearts content, we found a comfy spot infront of the music stage
& dozed off for a while.
Best day ever ....
