When Animals Attack

PK - ever since you were here, everytime I see a squirrel I think of you! (If you don't know what I'm talking about, check out PK's awesome photos from his digital SLR camera)

Yesterday I glanced out side my window & saw 2 geese on the lawn below. This isn't unusual as there's a pond/lake out the front of our apartment building. Then I see this little chipmunk climb down a tree & head straight for one of the geese & stop about 1/2m away.
The goose starts getting riled up & flapping it's wings & I'm thinking that lil chipmunk has pushed his luck too far & R.I.P.
But the lil dude back away towards the tree, does some thinking & then does a loop around the 2 geese so he doesn't have to go head-on-head with them & darts into this lil hole in the ground right behind one of them.

So inside that tiny lil chipmunk head is a pretty decent chipmunk brain - impressive.
AND the cutest thing I've ever seen!

If you're like me (pre-US) then the first image you think of when you hear chipmunk will be the cartoon ones Chip & Dale. Well, this is what they look like if you've never seen one before.
