A Public Apology
Dear Poon,
Hope you had fun on Saturday night - all of us boogying away together in Sugar. I had a top night.
Thanks heaps for trying to teach me a new dance move. I'm not sure if it was a pop, a lock, or a pop and lock. Maybe Jon can explain oneday.
Anyway - just wanted to apologise for kicking you in the shin about ten times. Apparently after a few drinks I'm pretty uncoordinated. Actually, without drinking I'm pretty uncoordinated, with drinks I'm just dangerous.
Somehow my right leg just didn't wanna be the first one to kick, so no matter how hard I tried, my left foot just kept kicking you.
If anyone out there is willing to donate a shin bone, I'm sure Poon would appreciate it. I'd give one of my own, but you'd be lop-sided and look a bit sissy I think. Not that there's anytihng wrong with that.
Sincere Apologies,
Su-Yin (and her left foot)
For anyone interested, it went something like this (facing each other):
- arms extended horizontally with one palm up, one palm down
- 'clap' hands with the other person (like that patta-cake hand clapping game)
- repeat but rotate hands 180 degrees
- clap hands with the other person twice
- point fingers out in diagonally opposite directions (top-right & bottom-left) whilst kicking out right leg
- repeat but in opposite directions (top-left & bottom-right) whilst kicking out left leg

1 Comments:
The Pop is a fluid action simulating a wave like movement. So holding you arms out horizontally and starting from right to left, raise these parts in order. When raising the next part lower the previous part to its neutral horizontal position.
Parts order:
Right (R) - Fingers
R - Wrist
R - Elbow
R - Shoulder
Left (L) - shoulder
L - Elbow
L - wrist
L - Fingers.
Once you have the hang of this, you can repeat the action in reverse order.
