Aussie, Aussie, Aussie!

I knew it would happen sooner or later.
This week I was asked the age old question "So, are there really like kangaroos on the streets of Australia, and do people keep them as pets? Cos that's what I've heard."
I actually had to say 'yes' to people keeping them as pets, since someone on our block had one when I was growing up in Broken Hill.

I must say, it's pretty cool to be an Aussie in the U.S.A, people seem to generally be fascinated with us, which is quite amusing. When I say I grew up in the outback, they ask "What's the outback?" Which is kinda wierd since they have a chain here called "Outback Steakhouse".

I also managed to freak people out when I said we eat kangaroo. Hilarious Yanks.
